What about privacy and consent to receive messages?
The short answer
Joining the loyalty club is not consent to marketing. Consent is a separate box that is not ticked in advance, and marketing may be sent only to people who agreed. This is general information, not legal advice.
How Shortip is built
- Consent to receive marketing is a separate, unticked box, and it is not a condition for joining.
- The number is verified with an SMS code, so the consent comes from the person who really holds the phone.
- The customer can ask for no marketing, or delete the card, at any time.
- You can record that a customer asked to stop, but you cannot add consent on their behalf.
What is sent to customers today
Only service updates on the card in the wallet: a visit that was recorded, a gift that is waiting, or a message you write like "Closed today". Shortip does not send marketing messages by SMS today.
The data itself is stored with well-known cloud providers, and each business sees only its own customers. The full privacy policy is linked at the bottom of every page.
