What is special about cafes
- In the morning there is a line, and no time to find a paper punch card in a wallet or stamp it.
- Paper cards get lost, stay in the pocket of another coat, or fill up with stamps nobody checked.
- Most customers come at the same hours, and you do not always know which of them stopped coming.
- Many cafes also sell pastries and want to give a separate reward for them.
How Shortip works for you
- The customer scans the sign at the counter, types a phone number and gets a code. The card is saved in the wallet, and there is no app to download.
- The staff member scans the card and presses the button. The scan only identifies; the visit is recorded only when the staff member presses.
- After every visit the card in the wallet updates, for example "2 more visits to a free coffee".
- Two punch cards, for example coffee and pastry, on one card.
- In the portal you see who is waiting for a gift, who did not come back, and on which days and hours club members come.
Frequently asked questions
Some of my customers have a paper punch card. What happens to them?
Their visits move from the paper to the digital card, with your approval. The customer does not start from zero.
What if the signal in the cafe is weak?
The visit is saved on the staff member's phone and sent when the signal returns. If the customer has no signal, the staff member signs them up from the scanner.
Can I also give a reward for pastries?
Yes. You can have two punch cards on one card, for example coffee and pastry, and each one counts separately.
